Well, since you asked...
I'm Matt Price, a creative problem solver with an eye for design and a thing for building systems that make production run.
I'm a New York based Creative focusing on the concept, development, and execution of projects involving Motion Graphics, Video Editing, VFX, & Post-Production Automation. I've collaborated with brands like Google, Disney+, Starbucks, Rolex, TikTok, Slack, Botox, Chase, and Netflix, and partnered with agencies including Big Spaceship, Grey, JWT, Ogilvy, and Y&R.
For the past six years, I've been the Associate Studio Director at Big Spaceship, where I built and led The Studio, an in-house post-production operation. I manage a distributed team across video editing, motion design, color correction, and audio, overseeing ~$3M in annual production and delivering 20-40 assets per month across social and digital platforms. This past year I started using Claude and Claude Code to build custom After Effects scripts, Figma plugins, and automation pipelines that turned hours of manual production into minutes. It changed how I work.
I also served as the Graphics Creative Director for Unsolved Mysteries Volumes 4 & 5 on Netflix, leading a team of animators to deliver over 600 animations across 9 episodes, with each episode featuring a unique visual style, from Jack the Ripper's 1800s London to modern-day crime scenes in 2020.
Before that, I spent over seven years as Art Director & Head of GFX at Gramercy Park Studios, the in-house post-production studio of Hogarth Worldwide. I was one of the first 10 U.S. hires and built the animation department from scratch, growing a team of 2D and 3D animators. I led projects through every stage of production, from emailers and social ads to TVCs, feature films, and large-scale displays in Times Square.
I’m always looking to connect with new people, brands, and studios. So if you have a story to tell—or just want to meet for a drink—let’s chat.
